Where to eat in Broadbeach when you're staying at The Star

I book roughly 150 tables a month across Broadbeach. This is the list I give friends — the venues inside The Star, and the spots worth the two-minute walk outside it.

Inside the complex

Cucina Vivo — the pick of the nine. Proper Italian, wood-fired everything, and a chef's counter worth requesting directly. Friday 7pm is the slot everyone wants; we hold allocations.

Nineteen at The Star — rooftop bar on level 19, sunset views over the hinterland. Book the 5pm seating, not 7 — you want the golden hour, not the dark.

Harvest — buffet done well, and the Sunday yum cha is legitimately good. Two weeks' notice in school holidays, no exceptions.

Across the road

Oracle Boulevard and Surf Parade have the strip locals actually use: the ramen place with the queue (worth it), the Greek taverna that does lunch sets under $30, and three breakfast cafés where the coffee embarrasses anything in the complex.

Booking strategy

Saturday dinner wants a week's notice; chef's tables and omakase want two. Our dining reservation service handles it for a flat $35 — free with any stay over $500. Dietary notes get written into the reservation properly, not mentioned at the door.

Pair it with a show

The Star's showroom runs touring acts most weeks — dinner plus show is the classic pairing, and timing them wrong (8pm curtain, 7:45 seating) is the classic mistake. We sequence both in one booking.
